Recipes - Fish and Seafood - Planked Salmon


  • 1 salmon fillet
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 lemon wedges
  • Northern White Cedar Platter-Sized Plank soaked in water for about 20 minutes - 1 hour


Rub a light coat of olive oil onto the grilling plank to prevent sticking. Lay salmon fillet on the plank with the skin down. Mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, and the juice from the lemon wedges. Pour ⅔ mixture over salmon. Arrange spent lemon wedges on the fillet. Place the plank directly on grilling surface of ready to cook charcoal or propane grill. Close the grill lid and cook for approximately 20 minutes or until done to taste. Drizzle remaining sauce on salmon and serve on the plank.
